Sandra Colom, Guatemala’s former First Lady, will officially start her campaign to replace her ex-husband as president next month. The election is not until September, but there is much talk over the circumstances surrounding their divorce. Some even question whether the split was a politically-motivated move, as close relatives of the president are constitutionally banned from running for high office.
