Seems to me that he is already divorced. He already knows the recipe for the cocktail. He gets to see his kid on the weekends. thats why monday’s are for drinking to the seldom seen kid. Agree with view that he is falling into the maelstorm of low life around him.

Polishing his compass is clearly a reference to his dick that leads him in the wrong direction but because he’s on his own he’s forced to polish it himself, apart from when he is out with the whores

Anyone know any songs that have this blues feel to it? it’s amazing!~

  6. willkill08 says:

lol it’s really not hard… theire? Never heard of that word… I’m in sixth form and therefore should have the same grammar level as you, and yet I can spell there…

Blink 182 – I miss you – might be another your looking for?

  8. ThatDorkFromArtClass says:

No, But It was a good song! I mean like the whole deep darkness, the sounds of the demons you know? Not hard rock, but blues.

  9. ThatDorkFromArtClass says:

Awesome, I thought ‘polishing a compass That I hold in my sleeve’ meant He goes where ever Time Takes him. Because you have a watch in your sleeve, but then I’ve heard referrence to sleeves as your soul XD Still, I Think you make more sence XD And I thought the seldom seen kid was a broken piece of him inside himself, Because you usually drink when theres something dead inside. But then again, you make more sense. I think the sticks and horse part is saying that that he’s in a process of a-c

  10. ThatDorkFromArtClass says:

bon fire but he’s fight back. What do you think? The cigarette case- I have no Idea what that’s supposed to mean. At first I thought he was talking about whores when he said ‘Flesh by the pound’, then he says whores in the next sentance. Then again doesn’t flesh by the pound mean killing? That’s what I thought! The hole in the nieghborhood I think is the loss of morales. What Do you think? I’ve been trying to figure this song out XD 😀

  11. mersi2140 says:

liek omg gais teh grammar Nazis is going to git US!!!

  12. mersi2140 says:

Wow, you’re in it now aren’t you?

  13. localsa says:

the Chris Cornell cover of “Billie Jean” maybe?

  14. localsa says:

The chorus is what ties the song together: “there’s a hole in my neighborhood down which of late i cannot help but fall”
I think directly describe a dive, which is a rundown, cheap bar. Everything can be related to that. “jokers doing flesh by the pound” is the losers at the bar that can’t get none, so they play to the “little town whores”. “twisted karaoke” sounds like the drunks that sing karaoke at bars. “Aniseed lounge” might be the place where all this is taking place, as seen in the video

yes very good english, theire… reapeted

  16. leopies says:

Ever been to Manchester? It’s a dank shit-hole where nothing good ever happens, and from which nobody good ever comes. Mancunians think their music’s good cause that’s what happens when you take enough drugs. Really they’re just a pack of dogs eating vomit.

  17. OfficialMongooseFed says:

    wow … fuck you

  18. OfficialMongooseFed says:

Manchester is not a shit hole

Although several other German engineers (including Gottlieb Daimler, Wilhelm Maybach, and Siegfried Marcus) were working on the problem at about the same time, Karl Benz generally is acknowledged as the inventor of the modern automobile.

  21. revengerstv says:

its the north of manchster tjers lots of chavy dicks who dont give a care bout anyone

  22. ojJackk says:

I love how bitter you are. Manchester is a great place. All of it. I would love to see you say something like that on Moss Side rather than sat behind your computer screen eating wotsits and thinking you are important.

Oasis, Elbow, The Stone Roses, The Verve (+more but I can’t be bothered), take your pick, all multi millionaire music artists from manchester, they must be shit then.
